Dawn White, M.D.
Diplomat, American Board of Bariatric Medicine
Dr. White was raised in West Michigan and received her Bachelors Degree in Human Physiology from Michigan State University. She earned her M.D. from Wayne State University and completed her Internal Medicine residency training in Grand Rapids at Butterworth Hospital.
She practiced primary care medicine in West Michigan for 3 years. Realizing that her passion was to help people with their weight struggles, she found that her primary care office setting didn't allow her enough time to focus on this. Therefore, she left primary care to join a wonderful team of providers, who now make up Grand Health Partners, and devotes herself to helping grow a successful, compassionate, and comprehensive medical and surgical weight loss program with them. Her commitment to completely focus on practicing Bariatrics was solidified when she completed her training and board certification in Bariatric Medicine in 2005.
Dr. White and her husband Dan have 4 daughters. She and her husband have a special place in their hearts for orphans, and have adopted 2 of their children from China. She is an active member in her church and finds her enjoyment in spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include jogging and most any outdoor activity.
